This lovely hat is knitted in rib and honeycomb, and was inspired by the plight of the bee. It is part of a range of bee hats designed by Lesley-Anne Radcliffe
Made with our softest alpaca-merino mixed yarn, so it is uber-super soft. Once made, you'll have a lovely warm hat.
It includes a pattern and wool to make the bee, which is of course an optional addition to your finished hat, along with the free pompom, which is included with this kit.

- Cotton alpaca project bag
- 100gm (175m) Gorgeous Aran made from 50% baby alpaca/50% merino
- Faux fur pompom
- Approximately 10g each of Black, Yellow Ochre, and Parchment yarn (as above)
- Optional 5.5mm needles Pattern for kit
- For the bee, you will also need 3.25mm needles for the large bee, or 2.5mm needles for the small bee

Uses our lovely Alpaca-Merino undyed aran-weight wool.
This is a lovely soft yarn that knits/crochets beautifully, made from 50% baby alpaca / 50% baby merino. 'Baby' alpaca does not mean that we stole the fleece from baby alpacas (crias); it's simply the term used to describe the finest micron fibre available. We mix it with the softest merino wool to give it good structure, stretch and the softest yarn you will fine.

Hand washing: Use lukewarm water and a specialist wool detergent. Hair conditioner in the final rinse will add extra softness. When washing and rinsing squeeze the garment rather than rubbing. Gently squeeze out excess water before rolling in a towel. Lay flat to dry.
Washing machines: Modern machines with delicate programme at 20C using a wool delicate detergent. Can be spun at 400 RPM.
