Skill Level - Intermediate

This is cute, fun to knit, warm, and hypo-allergenic. Not for beginners despite it's small size, but pretty straightforward once you have mastered cabling.

Size: Newborn - 6 months - 12-36 months

Kit includes:

  • Cotton alpaca project bag
  • 100g (225m) Gorgeous DK yarn made from 75% alpaca/25% sheep
  • Optional 4.5mm needles, cable needle and a tapestry needle
  • Pattern for kit

As with all Gorgeous alpaca DK kits, it's warm and cosy, but lightweight and breathes well. The alpaca yarn has a small amount of 100% natural sheep's wool blended in, which makes it easy to knit with, and still retains that wonderful alpaca softness.

This hat, once knitted up, can be washed by hand or in a machine on a wool wash at 20 degrees.

A pleasure to knit with.

These days I love to knit mindfully. This yarn is gorgeous smooth and silky. I can sit and enjoy the texture and feel relaxed whilst creating something beautiful. I knitted the cable hat. The snapper pompon is a bonus. I did put a stitch discretely through the pompon and snapper in case it got dislodged. Looking forward to knitting the next project with this yarn.

Very happy with first order

The order came promptly, and I have already knitted the first hat ready for my latest great nephew.
