Skill Level - Beginners

You will learn to cast on, cast off, and how to use the Number 1 stitch used in Knitting. All stitches are supported with our HOW-TO VIDEOS. This alpaca wool knitting kit uses alpaca yarn from British and Irish farms .It uses single pointed needles and we can include lovely bamboo knitting needles.

Size: 20 x 160cm - or smaller to suit

Kit includes:

  • Cotton project bag
  • 250g (225m per 100g) Gorgeous DK yarn made from 75% alpaca/25% sheep's wool
  • Optional: 4.5mm needles, and a tapestry needle to sew in the ends
  • Pattern for this and the Beginners Sampler Scarf

As with all Gorgeous alpaca DK kits, it's warm and cosy, but lightweight and breathes well. The alpaca yarn has a small amount of 100% natural sheep's wool blended in, which makes it easy to knit with, and still retains that wonderful alpaca softness. The scarf can be washed by hand or in a machine on a wool wash at 20 degrees.

A pleasure to knit with.

These days I love to knit mindfully. This yarn is gorgeous smooth and silky. I can sit and enjoy the texture and feel relaxed whilst creating something beautiful. I knitted the cable hat. The snapper pompon is a bonus. I did put a stitch discretely through the pompon and snapper in case it got dislodged. Looking forward to knitting the next project with this yarn.
