Knit Kit - Coronation Wrap

This alpaca wool wrap knit kit uses alpaca wool from British and Irish farms. The wrap was designed to celebrate King Charles III Coronation in May 2023, a month of warm weather, where we often add a shawl or wrap to a formal or smart-casual outfit. It's available in a wide range of colours (seen here in natural speckledy-grey).

The wrap is from our new Restful range. The Restful range is intended for stress-free easy knitting that means you can focus on the conversation, the movie or just whatever you need to be thinking about. Each pattern is simple to work with, and has been tested on beginners, rusty knitters, and the very accomplished. Everyone reports that the yarn is fabulous soft and lovely to work with and all the feedback is that the styles are very restful to knit, and lovely to wear!  

The wrap uses lightweight DK alpaca yarn spun from the fleece of alpacas from UK farms.

Size: 120 x 33 cm 

Kit includes:

• Cotton alpaca project bag
• 200g (450m)  Gorgeous DK yarn made from 75% alpaca/25% sheep's wool
• Pattern for this wrap
  
• Optional Extra - 4.5mm x 23 cm needles, and a tapestry needle to sew in the ends 

As with all Gorgeous alpaca DK kits, it's warm and cosy, but lightweight and breathes well. The alpaca yarn has a small amount of 100% natural sheep's wool blended in, which makes it easy to knit with, and still retains that wonderful alpaca softness. The shawl can be washed by hand or in a machine on a wool wash at 20 degrees.
