Tassels Add Pizazz to Your Projects

Have you ever wanted to add a little extra something to your knitting and crochet projects? Tassels are a great way to add a touch of fun and whimsy to hats, scarves, blankets, and more. In this video, you'll learn how to make a tassel in just a few minutes.

The video Making a Tassel provides a great introduction on how to make tassels.

In the video, we use our alpaca wool, but you can use anything ... use leftovers, and even mix up colours so you get multi-coloured tassels.

So why not add a tassel to your next knit project? It's a quick and easy way to add a touch of personality to your work.

Here are some additional tips for making tassels:

  • Use a variety of yarn colours to create a unique look.
  • Experiment with different tassel sizes
  • If you want a 10cm tassel, cut the card to 11cm so you can trim to the perfect size

With a little creativity, you can use tassels to add pizazz to any knit project. Here are some examples:

  • Pop on a hat instead of a pompom
  • Edges of blankets, throws and cushions
  • Corners or scarves and shawls - this is how we have used it in our Restful Hug Shawl

Restful hug shawl knitting kit, made using alpaca wool from British and Irish alpaca farms
